ORGANIK is proud of the quality of its products. We divide vegetables into three categories: Organic, GAP and Selected.
ORGANIK'S Growing Standards
1. Organic includes all the vegetables grown on our farm. This means we never use chemicals on the farm's plants, soil or water. Our farm is in a remote valley where we do not have neighbours whose harmful activities will pollute out farm.
2. GAP means "Good Agricultural Practices". These vegetables are grown by farmers with whom we have a contract. They are very safe. The reason we use Contract Farmers is because we don't have enough land on our farm to grow everything. The reason Contract Farmers don't grow organic vegetables is because their farms have not reached the organic level. 3. Selected means vegetables we buy from trusted suppliers. We do not have contracts with these growers and so we must go on their reputation and the tests we do on their products.
In the future we want to increase the number of organic vegetables we supply to you. We can only do this when we get more land and set up greenhouses on them. We'll keep you informed of any developments in this matter.
